Deionized Pure Water — Why It’s the Only Method Andrew Uses Outdoors

Portland’s tap water contains dissolved minerals — calcium, magnesium, and silica — that leave visible deposits on glass when water evaporates. Soap-based window washing removes surface dirt but leaves a microscopic soap film and mineral residue that accelerates re-soiling.
