Our Process · Step by Step
How a Rose City Glasscare Visit Works
From the pre-arrival text to the final walkthrough — exactly what to expect, every time
This is the exact process followed on every Rose City Glasscare visit, residential or commercial. Consistency matters — because Andrew does every job personally, this same process applies whether it’s your first visit or your tenth.
A visit includes a pre-arrival text, a property walkthrough, track vacuuming, screen removal, exterior deionized water cleaning, interior squeegee cleaning, frame and sill wiping, screen replacement, full post-job cleanup, and a final walkthrough where Andrew reports any conditions observed.
The 10-Step Process
- Pre-Arrival Text — Andrew texts 30–60 minutes before arrival so you can prepare access and secure pets.
- Property Walkthrough — Before any work begins, Andrew walks the property to confirm scope and note any special conditions like storm windows or hard water staining.
- Track Vacuuming — Tracks are vacuumed to remove loose debris before wet cleaning begins.
- Screen Removal — Screens are removed before glass cleaning so they can be cleaned separately.
- Exterior Deionized Water Cleaning — Exterior glass is cleaned with a water-fed deionized system that leaves no mineral residue or soap film.
- Interior Squeegee Cleaning — Interior glass is cleaned with squeegee technique and microfibre edge detailing.
- Frame and Sill Wiping — Frames and sills are wiped on every visit.
- Screen Cleaning and Replacement — Each screen is cleaned and replaced only once dry.
- Post-Job Cleanup — All debris is removed from garden beds, patios, and walkways before Andrew leaves.
- Post-Job Walkthrough — Andrew walks through results with you and reports anything observed, like a broken seal or developing moss.

Every step exists because of a real, common failure point in the Portland window washing market: tracks skipped, screens replaced dirty, no communication before arrival, debris left behind. Following the same process every time — regardless of job size — is how consistent results happen. See our full guide on what happens during a visit for more detail on why each step matters.
